Behind the paintings
Inside the Studio
The paints, brushes, mediums, surfaces and digital tools I actually use.
My Palette
I work mainly in oils and use Gamblin for most of my oil colors, with Lukas for smaller studies and experiments. For acrylics, I use Liquitex Heavy Body and Golden Heavy Body.
Blue is my favorite color, with greens close behind. But the color I buy more than anything else is Titanium White. I somehow always need another tube.
Brushes
I use rounds, flats and filberts depending on what I’m painting. My go-to brands are Rosemary & Co. and Princeton.
Surfaces
For oils, I prefer canvas and canvas panels. For acrylics, I like wood panels. I’ll use multimedia paper occasionally, but I’m not a fan of how easily it curls.
